What a great night was had by all for our annual Inverloch Men's Shed Christmas party, held this year in the Men's Shed hall. We had a merry band of volunteers setting up for the nights festivities, and the hall looked a treat with Christmas lighting and decorations. Great food was had by all with spit roasts, vegetables and salads, with a few heading back for thirds (well i confess it was me).
A great thank you to all the helpers who assisted in putting this event together, was a fantastic job guys.
There were two special awards presented to this years high achievers. First was to our Master Chef John (Tex) for keeping us fed all year during our special gourmet nights in the shed. John was awarded the 'spoon of service' for all his hard work, although my wife says he hasn't taught me to cook yet. John had the night off tonight to enjoy being catered for a change. Good on you John.
The second award was for the Shed 'Stirrer of the year', which went to Owen.
Owen is that guy who is always there to give a hand, a bit of friendly advise and the odd dig. We appreciate Owen's work and fun during the year and the award couldn't go to a nicer guy.
Next morning was clean up day and thank you for those who turned up with sore heads to assist.
Out shed is a great team and with our partners know how to have a good time, although there was no table dancing (must have been the music Julian supplied for the evening)!
